Durango Whitewater's mission is to create, develop and promote all levels of whitewater slalom and wildwater racing. We aspire to provide training opportunities for all levels of competitive paddlers, and to provide an environment which will enhance positive character development.

By pursuing the sport of whitewater slalom or wildwater, athletes will learn to set goals, to establish plans to achieve those goals, and to execute their plans through perseverance and self-discipline. The athletes are expected to support and contribute to their team, teammates and community. If Durango Whitewater is successful in its mission, each individual athlete will achieve success to the best of his or her ability and will have been launched on a path that will lead to great achievements in whatever their future pursuits may be.
