Coaching Experience: John received his degree in Exercise Physiology from Fort Lewis College in 1993. He coached Fort Lewis ski team for 2 years and spent a few years coaching the junior ski racing program. John has been a Durango Whitewater coach for 15 years.

Heinz hails from Switzerland as a many-time National Whitewater Slalom Champion.

Favorite River: Anything larger than a rain gutter.

Coaching Experience: Cathy has her BA in Physiology and Psychology of Athletic Training and is professionally certified in the Feldenkrais Method. She has been an ICF coach for successful Olympic qualification purposes for athletes, was an official U.S. Junior Team coach for four years and is currently involved with the coaching of the U.S. Development, Junior and Cadet teams, and has coached internationally in countries such as Canada, Costa Rica, New Zealand and Russia.
