Durango Whitewater kicked off its newly created fall slalom series last Saturday August 28th. Paddlers of all ages and abilities took to the course with the goal of going fast and being clean. This race marks the first of a series of informal saturday slalom races, in which paddlers will compete for cash prizes and the title of overall series champion. Congratulations to all of the paddlers who came out to race and many thanks to everyone who braved the potential rain to come and cheer everyone on.
