ANYONE CAN COMPETE IN THIS EVENT!

Note that a Team Trials Qualifier is scheduled for Durango on April 5. Be sure to check out the qualification rules at the USACK website.
Your participation in the Olympic Team Trials and/or Pan American
Championships is more than just a stepping stone en route to the Olympics.
This will be an experience which will educate you, build your confidence,
increase your resources, help you to make contacts, and more. These will be
the biggest races of your career thus far, giving you the foundation for
greater future performances in sport and elsewhere. Your experience at this
level is meaningful not only in a practical sense, but also as a reference
of your excellence and ambition on resumes and college applications.
Durango may still be in the depths of a frozen kind of whitewater, but the
2008 Whitewater Slalom season has begun!
In January, the first World Series slalom race of 2008 was held in
Penrith, Australia, at the site of the 2000 Olympic Games. The final 2008
event in the World Series will be held at ASCI/WISP (Maryland) in October.
World Series Slalom Events are open to all athletes—no qualification
required.
